How do you clean terracotta clay tumbler?
Terracotta tumbler needs to be seasoned before use by soaking the clay tumbler in water for 12 to 15 hours overnight. Later remove the clay tumbler from the water and wipe it with a dry cloth. Thereafter rinse it with water and rub baking soda on the surface and rinse again. The terracotta tumbler cannot be washed with soaps and detergents as they may soak into the pores of the tumbler and seep into the food. We recommend you wash it with baking soda or simply sun-dry the terracotta tumbler.
Are terracotta cups reusable?
Yes, unlike other kulhads, Trance Terra terracotta tumblers are reusable. These clay tumblers are baked at high temperatures making them more durable and less porous in nature compared to the kulhads that can be bought on the streets.
What are clay tumblers?
Clay tumblers or Earthenware are made from clay that can be used for serving. Clay tumblers could be glazed, partially glazed, or unglazed. At Trance Terra we work with unglazed terracotta clay to create clay tumblers for serving drinks and water.Â
Why are Kulhads better than paper or glass?
Clay tumblers are much better than paper or glass for various reasons. Terracotta products are disposable and there is no worry about germs and infections while consuming. Most importantly paper or glass doesn’t give an experience that terracotta cups/tumblers provide as they are unglazed giving it an earthy scent and taste.Â
Are clay cups biodegradable?
Yes absolutely, clay tumblers are made using mud and ultimately find their way back into the soil. They are completely eco-friendly & biodegradable..
